    @lmbngtracer7975 I know. But, I was talking about mountain bikes in general, not just the lift. That’s a very small cost. All the gear you have to buy can really chalk up. A decent bike will cost normally above $2000 for a good full suspension. Then you have to buy the pedals, the clothes, the helmet, the gloves, ect…… It all ads up really fast. Sure you can have fun on a $500 hardtail, but for extreme off road trails, it takes a good bike and good equipment. That costs money.

    Actually, if you don’t ride lift serviced trails it’s free in a lot of places, compared to skiing where you have to get a season pass or ticked every time you go. With mtbing you just ride to the trailhead and go for it.

    @valandilcamcacil
    yeh i agree with u 2… DH bikes cost a fortune, more than a second hand car!

  19. oliverOwns1

    dude if you was doing what these guys are doing you bike would be in bits now

  20. valandilcamcacil

    @leonp03 I agree. But, if you want to perform at your best, you need a good bike. I’m not saying that you can’t have fun with a hard tail, I do it all the time. But, for extreme DH biking or advanced anything biking, you’re going to have to chip out some dollars for good gear.

    @valandilcamcacil
    to be fair you dont have to have an expensive full suspension dowhill mountain bike like these guys do on the video. i used to do trails on a rigid £70 bike which is now like 8 years old and i loved it!
    mountian biking can be whatever you want it to be thats why its brilliant. either if your throwing down huge airs and tricks or just bumbling along a trail, if you are enjoying it, then thats all that matters :)

    @mollisamarshmellow Mountain biking isn’t for the faint of heart though either. Sure, it looks good in the videos, but these guy have been riding a while. And its a very expensive sport too. Only get into it if you will be absolutely committed to it, and if you can afford it
